The Versatile Blogger Award

A big thank you to my lovely long-time blogging buddy Chynna for nominating me for the versatile blogger award! It does mean a lot to be tagged and nominated in these kinds of things and I really do enjoy joining in.

It’s such a great thing to join in as I feel like it helps recognise a lot of people’s hard work and effort that they put into blogging, I know for me, it does take a while to write up a post due to inspiration and quality of how it’s written! Also, I’m always up for reading about fun facts about people so why not 😉 I often take inspiration from those facts resulting in finding and maybe trying something new!

What is VBA? On the VBA website, it is explained as:

When you consider nominating a fellow blogger for the Versatile Blogger Award, consider the quality of the writing, the uniqueness of the subjects covered, the level of love displayed in the words on the virtual page. Or, of course, the quality of the photographs and the level of love displayed in the taking of them.

Honor those bloggers who bring something special to your life whether every day or only now and then.

Here are 7 facts about me:

OPDI
Younger me, with curly afro hair!
  1. I was born with very straight hair BUT as I started growing up, my hair began to curl by itself (Help me science, tell me why this occurred?!) So, I grew up with naturally curly hair until I was around 15 where I discovered chemical hair straightening and rebonding (I know it’s bad for you, but I’d take straight over curls any day!) When my roots grow back, my curls make a return.
  2. I can sing all the high school musical songs backwards (I question my talents, sometimes.)
  3. I love tea, green tea especially – I drink 3 cups a day minimum.
  4. I can fit kids shoes, a size 3/4 over here. #teamtinyfeet
  5. I love taking pictures of everything and looking back at them after a few months! My pictures are organised on a yearly/monthly basis so I remember when what happened!
  6. I absolutely love Stick-O’s, hands down my favourite chocolate snack – I can devour like 5 boxes in under a few minutes.
  7. On this game called Star Legends, I obtained a number 1 rank on the leaderboard for PvE kills. I was so addicted to the game, I always tried to maintain my spot on the leaderboards and often got no sleep over it. Sadly when I began to grow out of it, I lost my number one rank. ? I think I’m rank 6 now but the game is dead nowadays anyway.

Stick-O’s from The Philippines – I’m wanting some right now, GAH.

  1. Oh my god this is so exciting!! I really think you deserve this as how much effort you put into every sentence in your blog is so obvious, and especially because of how much work it took to write the code for your layout i bet it took hours it looks on fleek! (Can websites be on fleek? I think they can…)

Also I’ve never tried those Stick’Os but I will as soon as I get the chance :3

    1. Haha, you can say on fleek now 😉 Thank you very much, it means a lot!

I’m sure an opportunity will present itself in order for you to taste the lovely taste of Stick’Os. ?

  2. Wow! congrats on being nominated, I know you deserve it 🙂 More power to your blog!

    1. thanks’s for nominating me as well. definitely do it asap! 🙂

      1. Thank you Ariane! I can’t wait to read it 🙂

  3. Congratulations on your award! I was born with curly hair and now it is super straight. So funny!

    1. Thank you Natalia! Really? I’m so glad you can relate-ish, that’s the reverse of what happened to me haha!

  4. Congratulations on getting the Versatile Blogger Award! I’ve heard of stories where people’s hair changes when they grow up. One of them was how someone’s hair turned blonde suddenly XD. I love to take pictures of everything too! I have a whole library since mid 2009. It’s nice to look back and remember the memories.

    1. Yeah – I have a friend who was born with blonde hair but as she grew older, her roots darkened then so did the rest of her hair! Weird!

  5. Your baby picture is SO cute, oh my goodness. I love your curls 🙂

That is an unusual talent. You should show as sometime, haha.

#teamtinyfeet! I’m a size 3. I work in a shoe shop, but they start from size 4 in woman’s shoes, which is hella annoying. I mean I can order from Clarks in size 3 because I work there, but that is not the point. Such a hassle, lol.

You’ve just reminded me that I need to stock up on Stick-O’s. Chocolate flavour is the best one, IMO! Now I want all the Filipino snacks D:

    1. Aww thanks Chynna! ?

I also work at a shoe shop part time and I am sometimes not satisfied with the size 3/4 fitting so I buy kids shoes haha! But I’ve had customers come in with bigger sized feet and they always complain of the hassle of shoe shopping, so nobody’s ever happy 😉

I KNOW RIGHTTT! I want some right now, my mom is going to Philippines in a few months so I’m gonna ask her to fill at least two luggage bags with Stick-Os ?

  6. Congrats on your award!! I’m from the Philippines and boy do I love Stik-O’s too!

    1. Haha, glad I’m not the only crazed one who lovessss Stick-Os!

  7. Lovely post – you definitely deserve to be nominated for this 🙂

Stick-O’s look amazing, I understand why you can eat so many. I think I’m the same with anything chocolatey.

You’re so cute as a child. My hair’s always been curly, but I tend to straighten it a lot now.

    Xxx

    1. Aww thanks Amy! And you do too – I can’t wait to read yours!

  8. Look at you so cute and lovely when you were little! 🙂 Awww! Beautiful and lovely girl now <3
I love this tag you did and it's so nice to get to know a little bit more about a person behind the blog you love! I definitely do not question your talents, girlie lol! Stick-O's look like something I would munch on every day.
Such a great award – you must certainly deserve it! I love your content so much hon. And wow, thank you so much for nominating me! So so kind of you. I will definitely make sure to do this tag very soon yay!
    Big hugs your way 🙂

    1. Aww, thank you so much for your lovely comment as always Nadia!

Haha, I’m glad you aren’t questioning my talent – it took a long time to master I have to say 😉

I can’t wait to read yours – I appreciate you doing it! Have a lovely rest of the evening!

      Lots of love <3

  9. Wow, I had no idea were you nominated either! ^^ I enjoyed reading this, and yes, Kingdom Hearts is da Bomb. I can’t wait for the 3 one. Yes, I managed to play or rather watch Dream Drop Distance on Youtube and it tied up all the games together. Yay, for that!

Yeah, my hair was always curly, then it became wavy. Your talent has been put to good use. It’s okay, I obtain facts and memorize events and am a good walking historian 😀

    1. Haha, “good use” I love it! <3

  10. I have to say that I beat you in the tea department. I have about seven cups during the day and three cups at night. Which is approximately three teapots. xD I just kinda have a neverending supply. My favourite is probably some variant of black tea, though I like trying new and funky flavours.

I love those chocolate sticks! They can get insanely and terribly addictive but are so good.

It’s interesting that your hair started to curl, I think you could probably do a deep Google search and find out why. My boyfriend has straight hair but if it grows longer it will get wavy. His sister was born with curls, though. 🙂 It must be something sort of genetic. I love your hair though, it’s gorgeous! I always marvel at it in your photos <3 <3

I was tagged by someone else too, I will make sure I do mine some time this month! <3

    1. Wow Georgie! That’s A LOT of tea – ha, hands down queen of tea-drinking 😉

      I can’t wait to read yours <3

  11. I’m impressed by your ranking for star legends! Number 2 definitely made me laugh, what a curious talent. I also had very straight hair but as I grew older it became curlier, unfortunately. Thos stick-os look delicious btw. And your picture of you as a child is such a sweet one.

I can tell that I’m definitely falling behind on reading blog posts, because I haven’t even seen this post before. Thank you so much for nominating me, I will definitely have this done before the end of the week!Xx
