A Day in the Life: October 2015

October 16th 2015

☁️ Today, I’ve decided to do Georgie’s link up this month. Day in the Life is a monthly link up where bloggers document their daily life on a designated day each month to show what a typical day is like. Make sure to join in! I always love reading what people have been up to on a daily basis (always curious!)

As of lately, my days are very “planned” out. They usually would include rushing into university to make it in time for my 9 am lecture. It’s usually a difficult task – not because of getting up or anything like that – but simply: public transport. I have the worse luck when it comes to trying to catch the bus in the morning. I’m always 60 seconds too late or when I am early, the next bus is cancelled so I have to wait in the freezing cold for another 30 minutes for the next one.

Spending most of my time on buses.

I usually do get an hour or so break in between lectures, being the hard working student that I am – I spend it drinking coffee and doing work at “my” corner of the university.

Coffee: my batteries.

I didn’t have many lectures today, so my partner in crime and I decided to go to town to run some errands and take some photos for this post! It was fun taking these, I love the autumn feels from them!

Walking through town ft. the pigeon who wanted to be part of the picture too.

When we got to the main town centre, there was a little market event where you could pick up a variety of things like food, clothes, decorations etc. There is usually a Christmas market every year too, it’s practically the same but with beautiful lights decorated all over!

There was this little hat stall. Naturally, we had to try some on…

When I got home I was treated with packages from Depop, Missguided and H&M – the life of a shopping addict but it feels like I earned them (that’s what I like to tell myself to justify my purchases! ?) After a long day, I usually try to stay away from my bed otherwise it would result in:

14 - 1

Today was one of those “I miss you so much bed!!” so I ended up napping for an hour but now I’m well rested for watching as many episodes of Friends as possible before my busy weekend of uni work and part time work-work.

Have a lovely weekend!

A very busy day, but it’s great that you got to see things and try on hats for fun. 😀 I hope that you liked the items you purchased! 😀 I am sure they were absolutely necessary! ;D

Hurray for “a day in the life”!

Public transport is horrible because of its timing! The only way I would trust it is if there is a live map of where the bus actually is! It’s great to be productive between classtimes. It’s something I need to learn these days XD.

I love love love the scenery of the places you go to! Sounds like you had an adventurous day~

I have the same luck with the transportation, I just can’t seem to get there at the right time. I am having “I miss you so much bed” moments every morning 🙂 These photos are beautiful and looks like you and your partner in crime had a really good day!

  6. What a neat idea! Might have to do it too!

    So many cool pictures!

I always miss my bed. I try to avoid laying down, cause then I conk out for many hours. XD

And funny, I was just watching Friends!

Thanks for sharing your day! I enjoyed seeing what you saw throughout your day 😀 You look totally ready for autumn, and I love how some of the backdrop of your photos gives off that autumn feel!

  8. Hahaha, I always try to justify stuff by saying “I earned them” too. I loved this day in the life 🙂 you’re adorable.

I feel ya about the getting to class on time. I used to live out in the suburbs and trains came every half an hour at night so getting home was mostly the pain there. Right now my problem is that I live so far from public transport I end up walking half the way to class and then taking the train, and that walk is tiring!

It’s nice to have a chill lecture day so you can relax a little, I know the feeling! Always fun to go around taking photos, I really miss that! 🙂

This sounded like a good day, morning transportation aside. It’s always frustrating when buses don’t follow the schedule! I feel you on those coffee batteries. Can’t function without them! XD

You had a very busy day it seems but it’s good that you at least had some fun. I would feel the same as you after having a busy day. I miss my bed too much sometimes lol

It was nice to sort of go along your journey with you. I really like your photos, seems like a very beautiful place. Your day really seemed hectic, but it is good to see that you also take time to relax and de-stress Xx

I believe I have that same jacket/coat! I actually got that on sale from J.C.Penny. I hardly ever go there, but since I went with my adopted grandmother, I couldn’t pass up on a $30 petticoat. It was an amazing offer and then I got a double off coupon from it. So it was more like $20. I have used it at night as before it would get extremely cold. I know what it’s like to take public transportation. I had to take the bus for most of my mid 20s. There was time were a person had seen me get extremely close to the door and the bus took off without letting me on. I was like “WOW.” So a person offered to take me to the next bus stop. It was very risky, but I am glad I made it to the next bus stop. By the way, I love your city. Where are you located if you don’t mind me asking? Do you receive snow?

Oooh, I might join this linkup month now that I’m doing more ~interesting~ stuffs.

How do you get your skin to be so flawless, girl?!?

I saw your snapchat with the picture and the guy in the background XD Photobomb, much? Ever noticed how pigeons are getting braver these days?

I spy a Jamaican flag. Represent!

    Naps are the best 🙂

I love DITL posts so much! I used to do a lot of them when I had my personal diary online (which eventually got shut down without my managing to save my info before it did awww). Anyway, this is an amazing DITL recap hon 🙂
It looks like such a perfect day and so chilled, too. I share your feelings towards buses lol
The market looks lovely, and it’s nice to see some fun pics from there too 😉
I love Friends and can watch re-runs without pausing 🙂

What a fun post! I love coming home to packages, it’s like a mini Christmas, haha!

  18. Cat says:

I liked seeing the pictures of your town! That looks nice to have a market event. I love visiting little stalls like that. I also really like your scarf and coat!

Receiving packages in the mail feels so good, even if you’re the one who bought them. It’s like your past self sending you a gift 😉 I have to avoid my bed too, otherwise I’d sleep too much. I end up napping on the couch, which makes me wake up after an hour or so!

  19. Your hair looks really good!!! it’s so chic!

  20. Amy says:

Sounds like a very busy day! I remember when lectures took over my entire schedule – that was such a pain. At least you have a nice relaxing place to get your work done.

Wow, that’s a lot of packages! I’m jealous.

I love your daily life! Sometimes it seems that it’s really an ordinary day, but when you try to recall it at night, it becomes a fulfilling and satisfying day:)

  22. Georgie says:

I forgot to thank you for participating in the October one! 🙁 I love that you included a lot of photos in this one. I hope you enjoyed opening all your packages. I love getting mail!

I am more of a tea person than a coffee person but a hot drink does give me a pick-me-up in the mornings :))

I am a huge fan of markets. I like browsing them even though they tempt me to buy things I don’t really need. I find them so quirky and cute.
