200°

Yesterday I attended my first ever blogger event. I’m glad it was a launch event for a coffee shop I’ve been a big fan of for a while now.

Flashback to 2016

on a spontaneous trip to Nottingham, I had my first 200 degrees experience and have since wondered why it hadn’t made it to Sheffield yet! I loved the vibe, the coffee and the food! When I heard the news a few weeks ago, I was SO excited to visit and repeat my awesome experience in Nottingham in my hometown.

Shehla & I
Shehla & I – these couches are so comfy! The interior is *iconic* – just like other 200 degrees shops!

Is it hot in here or is it just 200°? 🙈

I attended the event with Shehla (a fellow lover-of-all-things digital – definitely check out her work!) Although we arrived soaking wet from the rain, we quickly forgot about it as we were welcomed by the fresh smell of 200 degrees coffee (if you know, you know) and some friendly faces. I got their special Brazilian Black Americano coffee along with a tray of different types of cake.

Unpopular opinion alert: I don’t usually enjoy cake (it becomes sickly after a while for me) but I couldn’t pass up the collection at 200 degrees. Safe to say, I didn’t regret it at all – satisfied my sweet tooth! 😋

We also had a taster of their lunch menu which was delicious! You can browse through their whole menu on their website.

What makes them different to other coffee shops (and something I immediately picked up on in Nottingham), is that they truly care about the quality of their coffee. The knowledge staff had about coffee impressed me, I felt like my coffee-needs were truly considered and cared for – now that’s what you want really!

Game to get some Nitro (sounds like some sort of superpower, felt like some sort of superpower)
Game to get some Nitro (sounds like some sort of superpower, felt like some sort of superpower) I didn’t win, but still got some Nitro. The people at 200 Degrees have bee my favourite since Saturday. 😆

So why 200 Degrees?

Because we roast our coffee slowly for a smoother taste, at a slightly lower temperature than normal; at 200 Degrees. — Our Story

I can totally predict myself being a regular at 200 Degrees in Sheffield and Leeds – yep, they’re everywhere. Aiming for coffee-world-domination and I am so here for it. 🙌🏼 By everywhere* I mean 6 cities, including Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham – Carrington Street and Flying Horse Walk, Leeds, Leicester and Cardiff.

#SheffieldIsSuper

The branch in Sheffield is located at 25 Divison Street and is open tomorrow (4th of June) from 7 am! I recommend giving it a visit to study, to chill, as a meeting place or to tell them you read about it on this blog ayyyyy 😉 In all seriousness, it has without a doubt made it to my personal list of best coffee shops to go to in Sheffield.

TL:DR – I gotcha, have a minute?

Here’s a quick video I put together from the launch event. Thanks again to the 200 Degrees team for organising the event, I can’t wait to have another cuppa with y’all! ☕
